Troubleshooting

At Squair we make it easy to access everything you need. Its all infront of you without even looking.

This section outlines common issues that may be encountered during operation of your Squair Air Suspension system, along with possible causes and recommended actions. Always perform inspections with the vehicle safely parked on level ground.

System Loses Air Pressure Overnight

Possible Causes

  • Loose or improperly sealed air fittings

  • Damaged or pinched air line

  • Leak at cup or fitting connection

Recommended Action

  • Re-pressurise the system and inspect all fittings and connections using a soap and water solution

  • Tighten fittings as required (do not overtighten)

  • Replace any damaged air line and reroute to prevent rubbing or strain

Uneven Ride Height

Possible Causes

  • Uneven air pressure between cups

  • Air leak on one side of the system

  • Binding suspension components

Recommended Action

  • Inspect both sides of the suspension for leaks

  • Verify air lines are free from kinks or obstructions

  • Check that all suspension components move freely

System Will Not Air Up

Possible Causes

  • Compressor not receiving power

  • Blown fuse or poor ground connection

  • Loose wiring connection

Recommended Action

  • Check all electrical connections against the wiring diagram

  • Inspect fuses and relays

  • Ensure the compressor ground is connected to bare metal

Compressor Runs Excessively

Possible Causes

  • Small air leak in the system

  • Insufficient tank pressure retention

  • Moisture buildup affecting system efficiency

Recommended Action

  • Inspect the entire system for leaks using soap and water

  • Drain any moisture from the air tank if applicable

  • Do not continue operating the system if excessive run time persists

Slow Airing Up or Down

Possible Causes

  • Restricted air line

  • Contaminants or debris in fittings

  • Low system voltage

Recommended Action

  • Inspect air lines for bends, pinches, or obstructions

  • Ensure battery voltage and charging system are operating correctly

  • Clean or replace affected fittings if required

Abnormal Noises During Operation

Possible Causes

  • Air leak under pressure

  • Loose mounting hardware

  • Compressor mounting vibration

Recommended Action

  • Inspect all fittings and lines for leaks

  • Check mounting bolts and brackets for proper torque

  • Ensure compressor and components are securely mounted with isolation where required

Warning

If an issue cannot be identified or resolved using the steps above, discontinue use immediately and contact Squair Air Suspension or a qualified installer. Continued operation with a fault may result in component damage, vehicle damage, or personal injury.
